The final table of the first-ever WPT Uruguay Main Event, presented by Brasil Poker Live, is today at 4 p.m. local time from Enjoy Punta del Este. Six players remain from the field of 410 entries, and they’re all vying for the $109,860 top prize. Leading the way into the final table, which will be filmed for broadcast as part of the WPT’s Season XVI television schedule, is Brazil’s Kaue Vinicius De Souza.

After entering Day 3 as the shortest stack in the field of 22 that remained, De Souza climbed the leaderboard to finish on top of the final six. One of the hands that helped De Souza earn the lead came when he eliminated Jorge Luis Teodoulou in eighth place. Holding pocket aces, De Souza was able to knock out Teodoulou, who had ace-deuce and couldn’t find the miracle double up.

When Day 3 was all said and done, De Souza put a stack of 4.53 million in the chip bag. That’s good for nearly 1.5 million more than his closest competitor, Brian Kaufman with 3.04 million. Between De Souza and Kaufman, the duo enters the final table with more than 60% of the chips in play.

Behind De Souza and Kaufman are Laura Moreno with 1.63 million, Miguel Brañas with 1.12 million, Mario Bonanata with 1.015 million, and Juan Gonzalez with 940,000.

All six players remaining are guaranteed a minimum of $21,075. The Aconcagua Poker Network, official partner of the World Poker Tour, sent more than 200 players to WPT Uruguay. Of that group, De Souza, Kaufman, and Gonzalez are all Aconcagua players to have reached the final table.

Todays final table will begin at 4 p.m. local time from Enjoy Punta del Este. For those interested in following along from the United States, that’s a start time of 2 p.m. ET and 11 a.m. PT.
