Day 3 at WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown ended late last night with only 18 players remaining in the tournament. When play resumes at 12pm ET today, the chip leader will be Jacob Bazeley with 8,065,000. Other top stacks include Chance Kornuth (6,885,000), Eric Afriat (5,300,000), Justin Young (4,810,000), and Mukul Pahuja (3,550,000). There are several other notable players also left in the field, including Matt Stout, Barry Hutter, Jeff Gross, Matt Glantz, and James Mackey.

Pahuja is the current leader in the Season XII WPT Player of the Year race, and depending on what happens tomorrow he can really add to his WPT POY lead and distance himself from the competition. There is still one player in the field who can catch him and that is Hutter, but Hutter will have to win the whole tournament at this point to pull into the lead.

There were 114 players when play started today and a lot of big names cashed as we played down deep into the money in South Florida. The familiar faces that made a run into the top 50 on Day 3 were Tyler Reiman (20th), Hollywood actress Sasha Barrese (22nd), Hyon Kim (25th), Shawn Cunix (28th), Matt Jarvis (29th), Julian Thomas (33rd), Ryan Eriquezzo (35th), Mohsin Charania (36th), Eugene Todd (46th), Rep Porter (48th), and Ayaz Mahmood (49th).

Tune back in today at noon ET for the penultimate day of the tournament. The field will play down to the WPT television table of six tomorrow no matter how long it takes. The WPT Live Updates team will bring you all of the action and, once the field reaches the unofficial final table of ten, that will include hand-for-hand live updates.
