Day 2 of the Gioco Digitale.it WPT Venice Grand Prix has come to a close with 36 players left in the field as the money bubble approaches.

21 players will eventually survive that bubble and head toward the televised final table, where the final six will be playing for the $180,097 first-place prize, including a $25,500 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship at Bellagio.

Leading the way at the end of the day is Ludovic Lacay with 400,000 in chips. Steve Behm sits in second position with 270,000 chips while WPT Commentator Mike Sexton is fourth with 240,000 chips. Other notables remaining in the field include WPT Champions Club members Marvin Rettenmaier (140,000 chips), Giacomo Fundaro (90,000 chips) and Matt Salsberg who is primed for yet another deep run with a chip stack of 80,000.

ClubWPT.com qualifier Socrates Ioannides remains in the field, but is one of the short stacks with just 30,000 chips.
