Congratulations to Chris Moorman for adding his first WPT title to his impressive resume after claiming victory at the first stop on our California Swing, the WPT LA Poker Classic.

A stacked, 534-player field in this $10,000 event generated a $5.1 million prize pool and an incredibly tough and talented final table that included French entertainment icon and professional poker player, Patrick Bruel. Lasting nearly nine-and-a-half hours, the final table produced a number of dramatic moments, including a three-way all in between Moorman, second-place finisher Glenn Lafaye, and third-place finisher, Michael Rocco, who was eliminated during the confrontation. Check out our Live Updates for a full, final-table recap.

For his victory, Moorman collects more than $1 million in prize money, including an entry to next month’s season-ending, $15,400 WPT World Championship Sponsored by partypoker. The second leg of the California Swing continues March 10 when we head to San Jose’s Bay 101 Casino for the $7,500 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star.
