The WPT Online Series starts on May 3 on partypoker and there are more reasons than ever to get excited for the first-ever WPT online festival. In fact, there are more than $30 million reasons when the action kicks off.
Players around the globe can look forward to a full WPT experience full of buy-ins for all bankrolls. In fact, the series starts with millions in guarantees on the first day of the festival. The $55 WPT Super 50 features a $1 million guaranteed prize pool and the $2 million guaranteed WPT500 starts that day as well. WPT500 includes nine total starting flights and the WPT Super 50 includes 18 chances to make May 19’s Day 2.
In addition, the $5,200 WPT Grand Opener includes a $2 million guarantee and will start and finish all in the course of a single Sunday on May 3.
The crown jewel of the WPT Online Series is the WPT Online Championship which starts on May 10 with the first of five starting flights. May 10, May 17, and May 18 are the chances to jump in the action with Day 2 resuming later on May 18. The champion of all online champions will be crowned and added to the WPT Champions Cup on May 19 in front of a live streaming audience. Commentary for the final table will be provided by WPT Champions Club member James Dempsey.
The WPTDeepStacks winner will be crowned the same day. Ten starting flights spread across May 11 and May 19 will dovetail into May 19’s Day 2 before reaching the final table on the 20th where the last of the $2 million guaranteed prize pool will be distributed.
The recent trend on partypoker of real names attached to players on the virtual felt will continue for the entirety of WPT Online. Fans around the world will know the names of all the WPT Online Champions the moment they hoist the virtual trophy.
Other marquee events include the $25,500/$2 million guaranteed Super High Roller, $2,100/$1 million guaranteed Knockout event, and $2,100/$300,000 guaranteed Pot Limit Omaha event.
Most Events for WPT Online Series feature a corresponding Mini event starting at $50 with tens of thousands more guaranteed.
“WPT Online Series looks good, the buy-ins are higher than most other Series we have hosted, but there will be plenty of satellites & Mini versions so all bankrolls can participate,” said Rob Yong of partypoker. “This is also the first time a Series on partypoker will use a lot of two-day formats, allowing us to use better structures & not play into the early hours of the morning. As always with something new – we don’t know what’s going to happen.”
Players will benefit in major ways from all the money up for grabs. In fact, partypoker continues to add more money to the festival.

Along with the massive guarantees, there is a WPT Online leaderboard featuring prizes for the top-15 worth more than $50,000 in value. partypoker is awarding an $11,000 MILLIONS Passport to the WPT Online leaderboard winner. Second to fifth place finishers receive a $5,000 WPT Passport, which will be valid for 24 months to use for any partypoker LIVE-sponsored WPT festival, live or online. All finishers in positions 6-10 earn a $3,300 seat to a WPT Main Event.
