Brits, who claimed more than $132,000 and who will have his name etched onto the WPT Champions Cup, earned the title after defeating Eugene Du Plessis after nearly three hours of heads-up play. Other notables at the final table included Ronit Chamani, who was looking to become the first woman to win an open WPT event, and defending champions, Dominik Nitsche, who made another deep run, finishing fourth.
