Bianco Leads after Day 1A of WPT Borgata Poker Open

Play has wrapped up at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, and of the 400 Day 1A entries, 172 players have bagged a stack and punched their tickets to Day 2. On top of the chip counts is Ben Bianco (pictured above) with 389,000, followed by DraftKings qualifier Andrew Atkinson with 234,900, and Allyn Shulman with 231,200.

On top of the chip counts is Ben Bianco (pictured above) with 389,000, followed by DraftKings qualifier Andrew Atkinson with 234,900, and Allyn Shulman with 231,200.

For his efforts, Bianco was awarded a pair of Monster DNA® headphones.

Among the notables who made it through the day are Travell Thomas (196,600), Cornel Cimpan (166,900), Darren Elias (126,100), James Calderaro (100,700), Matt Affleck (85,100) and Mike Leah (77,800). Defending champion Anthony Zinno made it through to Day 2, finishing the day with 146,900.

Some of the players who did not make it through the field today include Tyler Patterson, Jared Jaffee, Jonathan Little, Season XI Player of the Year Matt Salsberg, and Season XII Player of the Year Mukul Pahuja.

Day 1B kicks off at 11 a.m. on Monday. Players who bust can re-enter up until the start of Level 7, just after the dinner break (which ended at roughly 8:25 p.m. on Sunday).
