This Sunday at 8pm and 11pm local time on FSN, World Poker Tour heads down to sunny Hollywood, Fla., for WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown to crown another WPT Champion and engrave another name on the WPT Champions Cup.
Held at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, this $10,000 buy-in event has become one of poker player’s favorite stops on World Poker Tour as it combines the excitement of a world-class poker tournament with the amazing weather and setting of South Florida. Last year, 433 players turned out to generate a total prizepool of $4,156,800 with $1,122,340 going to WPT Champion Taylor von Kriegenbergh.
This premiere episode of WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown features extended coverage of the playdown days showing the action as players buy-in, double up and bust out… sometimes in that order. There are interviews with players as they enter the poker room and hit the rail. The episode tracks several of the Season X Ones to watch – Ebony Kenney and William Reynolds in particular – as well as the numerous WPT Champions that entered the event.
Away from the felt, viewers are treated to a quick glimpse at the Royal Flush Girls beach volleyball game as well as a profile of ClubWPT member Butch Valure who played his way into the event via a qualifier on ClubWPT.com (see below).
