This Sunday at 8pm and 11pm local time on FSN, WPT World Poker Finals kicks off at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut. WPT World Poker Finals: Part 1 will feature extended play down coverage as usual along with player interviews, select hands and behind-the-scenes segments.

During Days 1 and 2 of the 10th running of this event, WPT cameras follow several players of interest as they navigate their way through the treacherous fields that always come out to this prestigious event, including WPT Final Tablists Christian Harder and Darren Elias; WPT Champions Will Failla and Dwyte Pilgrim; and WPT Player of the Years Andy Frankenberger and Jonathan Little.

Day 3 ended when the money bubble burst with 27 players remaining, leaving Frankenberger as chip leader and looking to add to his already impressive WPT resume. Joining him in the top 6 were the aforementioned Harder and Little. When Day 4 began, the carnage ensued as players dropped like flies, ending with 8 players left including the two WPT POYs with Harder and Daniel Santoro sitting atop the chip counts. The five pros and three locals sat down on Day 5 to rid themselves of two players thus setting the WPT final table. They would accomplish this by bidding adieu to Little and Chris Klodnicki, leaving six players to return to the WPT final table TV set.

Here were the chip counts when the final table kicked off:

Steven Brackesy – 1,807,000
Christian Harder – 1,293,000
Daniel Santoro – 1,163,000
Bob Carbone – 588,000
Eli Berg – 496,000
Andy Frankenberger – 374,000

As for what happens at the final table, we’ll let you tune in to find that our for yourselves. However, we can promise that the actions heats up immediately and only three hands in the first bust out happens and it only gets more intense from there. You’ll also see a WPT Season X Ones to Watch segment featuring dynamic young poker pro David ‘Doc’ Sands.
