On Tuesday, April 21, 2015, Europe-bet.com and the World Poker Tour held a press conference at the Europe-bet.com Poker Room in Tbilisi, Georgia, to unveil its newest co-branded VIP Poker Room and the upcoming WPT events in Georgia. Among the representatives at the meeting were Founder of Poker Club Management Artur Voskanyan, WPT Europe General Manager Hermance Blum, CEO Maia Kopinadze, and Head of Business Development George Gvenetadze from Europe-bet.com (all pictured).
The press conference saw a tremendous turnout with the most rated national TV, radios and newspapers in the audience. It began with an opening video from the World Poker Tour, followed by an overview of the achievements of WPT over the last decade, its recent growth, and expansion in Eastern Europe. The importance of the partnership with Europe-bet was the main focus, highlighting how poker is new addition to the touristic highlights in Georgia, joining established offers like wines and gastronomy.
George Gvenetadze stated: “This is an historic moment in Georgia, and we are ready to welcome all of the international players in our premier class poker room in Tbilisi. We will live up to the highest standards the WPT has set for all its events”.
Poker Club Management will play a key role in the WPT National success. Artur Voskanyan will be the Tournament Director, and will bring along his staff to cater and assist players during all the WPT events in Georgia.
