188 players returned for Day 2 of the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic and only 19 are left to battle at Fallsview Casino Resort. Garrett Dansereau (pictured) leads the pack with 3.105 million and is making his fourth career WPT cash worthwhile. Dansereau placed 25th in Season XVII’s WPT Montreal event and has already improved on that result this week. Only two players stand behind Dansereau with more than two million with Andrew Pantling (2.845 million) and Brad Lampman (2.515 million) standing strong.

On the line for Dansereau and the rest of the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic is CAD $517,424 and a $15,000 seat to the Baccarat Crystal WPT Tournament of Champions.

Moving day was a busy one at WPT Fallsview Poker Classic and many players came and went during the course of play. 76 runners made the money out of the record-breaking field of 602 and a few notables cashed before busting prior to the end of the day.

Current WPT Hublot Player of the Year points leader Ping Liu earned a cash in the form of 62nd place and now owns 1,900 points in Season XVII. Champions Club members Brian Altman (48th place) and Darren Elias (30th place) leave Canada with another WPT cash. Others who went to the payout cage include Jean-Pascal Savard (51st place), Peter Jetten (49th place), Luc Greenwood (46th), Season XVI WPT Fallsview third-place finisher Tim Rutherford (37th), and start of Day 2 chip leader Ben Wilinofsky (24th).

The only Champions Club member still in contention is Season XI WPT Barcelona winner Chanracy Khun (1.265 million). Khun took the lead prior to the money bubble and is on pace for a second final table.

Another familiar WPT face in the game is Jake Schwartz (480,000). Schwartz has played at five WPT final tables, including the Season XVII WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble where he finished runner-up to Tony Tran. The end of the night was far from easy for Schwartz, who was down to a single big blind. After a few doubles, Schwartz comes back tomorrow with 10 big blinds. Should Schwartz complete his comeback with a win, he will pass Liu for the Player of the Year lead.

Day 3 starts at 12 p.m. local time and is scheduled to play down to a winner. Keep a tab open for the exciting conclusion to the WPT Fallsview Poker Classic with another prestigious WPT title up for grabs.
