Last month saw the inaugural edition of the Global Poker Masters World Cup held in Malta. Team Italy became the first-ever champions. Continuing their success Rocco Palumbo, Dario Sammartino, Andrea Dato, and Giuliano Bendinelli will attend a special ceremony at the Gioco Digitale WPT National Venice, April 17-20. Whilst also being Team Italy winners Rocco Palumbo and Andrea Dato are WPT Champions Club members with Dato winning WPT Venice one year ago.
The €990 Main Event is hosted at the world’s oldest casino, Casino di Venezia Ca’Vendramin Calergi. Gioco Digitale WPT National Venice, in conjunction with Tilt Events also has 13 other affordable side events ranging from €35- €500. The event is to be hosted in the unique setting of Casino di Venezia Ca’Vendramin. Established in 1638, Casino di Venezia is the world’s oldest casino still in operation and its facade is still the original one built in the 17th century. The building is bursting with historical brilliance and priceless paintings. The world famous historic water city has direct flights from European capitals London, Nice and Vienna plus a short train journey from Milan, Naples and Rome.
All players are invited to take part in the Team Italy selfie challenge which will take place throughout all four days of the event. Players must tweet a picture with any Team Italy champion using #WPTNVenice to win a signed Team Italy World Champion shirt.
