WPTDeepStacks returns to the middle of poker-hungry Belgium on November 8 for WPTDeepStacks Brussels. The event features a €1,200 buy-in Main Event accompanied by a full festival schedule.
Season IV’s autumn trip to Belgium attracted 400 runners and awarded over €90,000 to first-place winner Laurent Polito. Earlier in Season V, Ioannis Angelou-Konstas beat out 315 entries to win €79,695.
The festival takes place at Grand Casino Brussels Viage, one of the top gaming locations in all of Western Europe.
This season’s festival comes with a new addition to the festival schedule. Among the tournaments available is an exclusive Ladies Event on November 9 that comes with star power. Social media and television personality and personal health guru Steffi Vertriest will be in attendance. Vertriest brings her experience of a healthy lifestyle to the felt and the ambition to bring more ladies into the game.
The Ladies Event features a €60 buy-in and is a first-ever initiative from Grand Casino Brussels Viage’s tournament offerings.
Television is where you can usually find Vertriest during the day. Vertriest is the host of the De Gezonde Goesting (The Healthy Appetite) for three years on Njam TV. In addition to her television show, the 31-year-old Vertriest is also the author of three cookbooks.
When she’s not in the kitchen, on the yoga mat, or penning her latest book, Vertriest also sings on her YouTube channel with song covers reaching millions of views.
“I’m overjoyed to be playing in my first-ever WPTDeepStacks event alongside some talented ladies,” said Vertriest. “Poker is a new passion of mine and I look forward to participating in additional WPTDeepStacks tournaments in the near future.”
Alex Gray from the WPT Royal Flush Crew will be in attendance to provide video content from the floor of the casino and the sprawling city space of Brussels. Gray will also be a participant in the Ladies Event and is sure to produce exciting action at the table.
