As Anchor of the World Poker Tour and Host and Producer of WPT Alpha8, I’ve been blessed with unbelievable opportunities to travel around the world. In South Africa, I ventured into the wild on a life-changing safari. In England, I actually drove a Rolls Royce. And In St. Kitts, I explored every inch of the island I could with a tour guide named Magic, drinking in every little treasure the West Indian nation had to offer.

Life’s Good is my main motto, as the initials mirror my own, but I want to remind you of the other two thirds of my mantra: Be Well. Travel Often.

I believe travel is one of the most important educations we can give ourselves. I have seen much of the world in my 31 years, but I still have endless kilometers of land and ocean to explore – and share. One not-so-distant land from my home country of Australia that I’ve yet to see is China. I’ve been to Macau and Hong Kong, but I haven’t yet explored Mainland China, and that’s about to change this upcoming week with WPT National China in Sanya.

From the pictures I’ve seen from past World Poker Tour events, the MGM Grand Sanya resort looks amazing. I’ll be heading straight to the Sho Spa when I get there for a little flight-recovery pampering!

There seems to be tremendous nightlife in Sanya, and the WPT and our new parent company Ourgame are throwing a massive party on Monday night. Think fire-breathers on the beach, Royal Flush Girls in the pool, and mixologists getting flown in from Los Angeles. If you thought my Periscopes and Snapchats from the recent WPT Cruise were entertaining, just wait until I catch Mike dancing around at this beach-themed bash. We all know the man’s got some serious moves. And there will be plenty of laughs with Vince, Tony, and Matt, of course. The whole family will be there!

Going back to my three-part mantra, Be Well is all about eating and living healthily. MGM Grand Sanya hosts Chef Zhang from Diaoyutai State Guesthouse, who works with herbalists and healers to create Earth-conscious, ethereal dishes. If you follow me on Twitter or Instagram, then you’ll know how important healthy and environmentally-friendly cuisine is to me, so this will be one of my many trip highlights, for sure.

I’m about to board my China-bound flight now. I only know two phrases in Chinese, so I’ve got a lot to learn when I get there! But that’s all part of the fun. I cannot wait. Catch ya soon, Sanya!
