Los Angeles, CA (September 9, 2014) — World Poker Tour® and Monster, Inc., the official headphone provider of the WPT®, announced today the inaugural televised WPT Monster Invitational, taking place on September 21 at the conclusion of the WPT Borgata Poker Open, which is sponsored by partypoker.com and BorgataPoker.com. This made-for-TV, world-class event features six of the best of the best, all of whom have reached a WPT final table and four are WPT Champions. The six “monsters of poker” hand-picked to compete in this unparalleled event are two-time WPT champion and inaugural ONE DROP winner Antonio Esfandiari, three-time bracelet winner Vanessa Selbst, Poker Hall of Famer and WPT Champions Club member Scotty Nguyen, Season VIII WPT World Champion David Williams, bracelet winner and poker personality Phil Laak, and Raw Deal host and Season XII WPT Caribbean champion Tony Dunst. The WPT Monster Invitational kicks off at 4 p.m. on September 21 at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa, and the last monster standing will take home a Hublot King Power Unico watch; seats into the WPT World Championship, WPT Five Diamond World Poker Classic, and WPT L.A. Poker Classic; and a pair of coveted Monster 24K™ headphones.
