The Season XIII WPT World Championship presented by partypoker and BorgataPoker kicked off on Saturday at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa with Day 1. A total of 234 players took to the felt and after 6 levels of play, 166 players punched their tickets to Day 2.

Leading the way after Day 1 is Eric Panayiotou (pictured above) with 262,400. He is followed by Brian Murphy (256,600), David Stefanski (200,300), Konstantinos Nanos (179,000), Jose Montes (178,000), Oleg Shnaider (177,800), Nick Petrangelo (175,000), Lazaro Hernandez (165,200), and Champions Club member Harry Arutyunyan 162,000).

Others notables who survived include partypoker qualifer (155,000), Tyler Patterson (153,000), defending WPT World Champion Keven Stammen (148,700), Brian Yoon (142,300), Seth Berger (110,600), Jason Mercier (110,900), Nick Schulman (110,700), Champions Club member Lee Markholt (91,500), Loni Harwood (54,900), Champions Club Carlos Mortensen (51,400), POY contender Darren Elias (43,200), partypoker qualifier Michael Azzaro (27,000), actor James Woods (24,500), and WPT DeepStacks POY Ryan Smith (21,900).

Among those who failed to survive the day include Shannon Shorr, Paul Volpe, BLUFF.com WPT Ones to Watch Garrett Greer, and Champions Club members Daniel Negreanu, David Williams, Chino Rheem, and Taylor Paur.

Registration remains open until the beginning of Level 9 (roughly 3:30 pm on Sunday).
