For the first time in the history of the World Poker Tour, the WPT Champions Cup will finally reach Irish soil. PKR WPT Ireland is set to take place January 5-8, 2012, at Citywest Hotel, Conference, Leisure and Golf Resort in Dublin and will feature a €2500 buy-in WPT Main Event. One of Europe’s premier destinations, the history and culture of Dublin will provide the perfect backdrop for adding the name of the first WPT Champion of 2012 to the WPT Champions Cup.

With a huge turnout of poker players from all over the globe expected, Citywest is the ideal setting to host PKR WPT Ireland. Situated on 380 acres of majestic parkland, the property is located just a few short miles from the center of Dublin and boasts a spacious events and convention center, a championship golf course, Leisure Center (gym, pool and spa) and three restaurants. The amenities of the hotel and its proximity to all that Dublin has to offer – from tours of famous breweries and historical landmarks to world-class restaurants and nightlife – makes this event a unique stop on the World Poker Tour schedule.

Coverage of the WPT Final Table will be provided by the WPT Live Streaming team, host Jesse May and a special guest poker pro commentator, and will feature RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, a process that embeds a unique chip identifier in every card in the deck. Those chips then transmit a signal to the commentators in real time so they can accurately describe to viewers the action as it’s happening.

Tune into the WPT Live Streaming page to catch all of the action as it happens.
