Two big events are attracting some of poker’s biggest names to Montreal’s Playground Poker Club later this month.

The partypoker.net WPT Montreal, which last year attracted 1,173 entrants and generated a prize pool of nearly $3.4 million, kicks off on November 29. This year’s event, which will be recorded for broadcast, is already on pace to draw another huge field, with players such as Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff Gross, Faraz Jaka, and recent WPT Grand Prix de Paris champion, Mohsin Charania all confirmed to attend.

Further adding to the excitement surrounding this event is the taping of the partypoker Premiere League VII at Playground Poker Club immediately before Day 1A of the partypoker.net WPT Montreal. Running from November 20 – 26, this invitation-only event has added Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, and partypoker Premiere League VI Champion, Dan Shak to the already star-studded field.

Cates and Shak will join Esfandiari, Gross, Vanessa Selbst, Sam Trickett, Phil Laak, and Johnathan Duhamel among others in this unique, $125,000 buy-in event.
