Florida is set to become the heart of high-stakes tournament poker later this April as the World Poker Tour returns to the state for back-to-back televised WPT Main Events. Both events are expected to draw large prize pools, and unlike in many other U.S. states where the legal age is 21, players aged 18 years and up are eligible to enter.

First up is the second-ever WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown (April 18 – 23). Last year, the Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown attracted 433 entrants and awarded more than $1.1 Million for first-place. Expect to see fireworks again during WPT Season X as players will be treated to a VIP Players Party, Royal Flush Girls Scavenger Hunt and Beach Volleyball Game.

With this tournament fast approaching, early confirmations have been pouring in. Among the many famous pros who have already confirmed their attendance are defending WPT Player of the Year Andy Frankenberger and current Season X POY points leader Will Failla; WPT Champions Dwyte Pilgrim, Chino Rheem, Matt Waxman, Tommy Vedes, Matt Giannetti and defending Champion Taylor Von Kriegenbergh; WPT World Champions David Williams and Yevgeniy Timoshenko; young WPT Final Tablists Joe Serock, Justin Smith, Noah Schwartz, Christian Harder, Dan Buzgon, Galen Hall, Byron Kaverman, Matt Stout, Jason Koon, Darryll Fish and Justin Zaki; WPT Season IX Ones to Watch Jason Mercier, Matt Affleck and Allen Bari; WPT Season X Ones to Watch Matt Marafioti, Ebony Kenney, David Sands and Maria Ho; and many, many more.

Keep tuned to the WPT Blog for more information on these events and all things WPT.
