Irvine, CA (March 14, 2023) The record-setting WPT® World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas returns this December, signifying the grand finale for Season XXI of the World Poker Tour®.

Wynn Las Vegas, a Forbes Travel Guide five-star resort, will once again partner with WPT to host the WPT World Championship festival from November 29 to December 23. Dates for the three championship tournaments are: December 7-12 for the WPT Prime Championship, December 6-8 for the WPT Ladies Championship, and December 12-18 for the WPT World Championship.

“The WPT World Championship festival was such an extraordinary milestone during our 20th season last year, thanks to partner Wynn Las Vegas and the enthusiastic support of the players,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “It is our hope that we have started a tradition in poker that we can enhance and add to each season. We look forward to making this year’s World Championship even more memorable for players.”

The inaugural WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas, which was recently named the 2022 Event of the Year at the 4th annual Global Poker Awards, saw a total of 2,960 runners. The $15 million guaranteed prize pool was nearly doubled at $29,008,000, which paid out the top 370 finishers. Ultimately, Canada’s Eliot Hudon claimed victory and the top prize of $4,136,000. England’s Benny Glaser finished as the runner-up with $2,830,000.

“After paying out more than $53 million in total prize money last December, we are excited for the return of the WPT World Championship at Wynn,” said Ryan Beauregard, Executive Director of Poker Operations at Wynn Las Vegas. “Due to last year’s incredible turnout and the strong rapport we built with WPT, we have extended the festival dates and will create a tournament schedule to make 2023 even more memorable.”

Other notable tournament dates include the return of the Mystery Bounty from December 18-21 and the Seniors event from December 6-8.
