Players in the WPT® Caribbean Main Event and WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble to Compete for Added Prizes from Nov. 3-11

Los Angeles, CA (September 23, 2014) – As the temperature starts to plummet and the cold winter nears, the World Poker Tour® migrates south for the first-ever Sunshine Swing from November 3-11. The first stop is the WPT® Caribbean Main Event from November 3-7 on the gorgeous island of St. Maarten. Once a WPT Champions Club™ member is crowned at Casino Royale, the WPT immediately jets to Jacksonville, Florida for the televised $1 million guarantee WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble from November 7-11.
Like the immensely popular California Swing, players will accrue points at both WPT Caribbean and the WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble. The top three finishers will earn five nights of all-inclusive accommodation at Sonesta Maho during the 2015 WPT Caribbean; third and second will also receive a $500 hotel package for the 2015 WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble; and the winner will walk away with an $1,100 seat into the 2015 Caribbean Poker Tour Main Event, a $1,500 bounty package, and bounty status in the 2015 WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble.
The action kicks off on November 3 at Casino Royale with the $3,500 buy-in WPT Caribbean Main Event, where WPT Raw Deal host Tony Dunst will look to defend his title. Each day begins at 4 p.m. during the tournament, allowing the players to enjoy some relaxation time on the beach, sneak in a round of golf, or simply lounge by the pool. The adventurous type can saddle up for a breathtaking tour of the island on horseback, or go snorkeling and discover the schools of colorful fish on the wondrous coral reef. All players are invited to attend the Monster Bash, an exclusive player party with a special guest DJ, on November 4. The celebration begins when the sun goes down – more details to come.
The poker festival in St. Maarten begins on October 31 and features 15 different events, including several $220 buy-in no-limit hold’em tournaments, the $1,100 buy-in Caribbean Poker Tour Main Event, and, of course, the WPT Caribbean Main Event. The WPT Caribbean Main Event features a live streamed final table on WorldPokerTour.com, and you can qualify for the tournament for as little as $120 starting on October 30 at Casino Royale.

Following the festivities in St. Maarten, the action heats up in Jacksonville, Florida with the $1 million guarantee televised WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble. A unique tournament that features $2,500 bounties on select players, the $5,000 buy-in WPT bestbet Bounty Scramble begins on November 7 with the first of two starting flights. Jared Jaffee, one of the $2,500 bounties, outlasted a field of 358 entries to win the Season XII WPT bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble, earning $252,749.
The WPT Main Event concludes a huge, 20-event poker festival at bestbet Jacksonville that features two $50,000 guarantees and a $100,000 guarantee. Like the Sunshine Swing, participants can accrue points in the 19 preliminary events, and the “player of the series” will earn a $5,000 seat into the WPT Main Event. Satellites for the WPT Main Event have been running since August, and bestbet Jacksonville will also run 10-seat guarantee satellites on September 26, October 23, and November 5. Players can qualify for the WPT Main Event for as little as $50.
