Day 2 of the WPT Amsterdam Main Event at the Holland Casino has ended with 65 players still clinging to the hope that they will be a WPT Champions Club member. 341 entrants created a total prize pool of €992,310.

The man who will lead the field when we return for Day 3 will be Joep van der Bijgaart. He bagged up 438,000 chips, after firing four bullets, and leads a series of big stacks including Barrie Pietersz (367,500), Giacomo Fundaro (312,000), Jason Wheeler (278,000) and Guy Goosens (271,500).

Other notables still in with a chance of winning a WPT title are Scott Davies (215,000), Noah Boeken (69,500), Andrew Chen (61,000), David Yan (238,000), Sorel Mizzi (254,000) and WPT Champions Club member Giacomo Fundaro (312,000) The group of players who are in line to win four WPT titles is an exclusive one. There is nobody in it. Anthony Zinno bagged up 116,000 chips and will hope to fill that void. Players who were less fortunate include WPT Champions Club members Yevgeny Timoshenko and Dominik Nitsche.
