After 11 levels at Bay 101 Casino, Day 1A of the WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star is in the books and Ankush Mandavia leads the first of two starting flights.

Day 1A attracted 331 entries, but only 125 players survived to make Day 2 on Wednesday. The aforementioned Mandavia leads the field with 263,700 chips and picked up an extra $10,000 bonus for bagging the day’s chip lead. Joining him at the top of the counts are Rep Porter (249,600), Brian Yoon (222,500) and Connor Drinan (222,000).

Daniel Negreanu, Chance Kornuth, Justin Liberto, Maria Ho, Noah Schwartz, Scott Clements, Will Failla, Ismael Bojang, Mukul Pahuja, Taylor Paur, Tyler Patterson, and Ben Yu are among the players who will be back for Day 2 on Wednesday.

Not everybody was fortunate enough to survive the day. Among those who will have to fire another bullet on Tuesday are Matt Salsberg, Anthony Zinno, Joe Elpayaa, Jason Mercier, Aaron Mermelstein, John Hennigan, Erik Seidel, Mike Sexton, Mohsin Charania, Paul Volpe, Mike Matusow, Phil Hellmuth, Cate Hall, Kelly Minkin and Aaron Massey.
