Day 2 of the partypoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship began with 152 players, and after eight one-hour levels, the field burst the Money Bubble and finished with the final 45 players. Ari Engel (pictured) emerged as the massive chipleader with more than 1 million in chips — more than 200,000 more than his nearest competitor, Trevor Delaney.

It was Delaney who burst the Money Bubble on one of the last hands of the night, giving the remaining 45 players a payday of at least CAD $5,410. Delaney’s AclubJclub bested Daniel Leduc’s pocket kings to propel him to 804,000 in chips and only behind Engel in the chip counts.

Joining those two atop the chip counts are Champions Club member Eric Afriat (570,000), Jonathan Karamalikis (538,000) and Arthur Walker (515,000). Other notables who survived the day include Darryll Fish, Will Molson, Tim Reilly and Jeff Gross, and Champions Club member Dylan Wilkerson.

Not everybody was fortunate enough to finish the day. Day 1 chipleader Mike Leah, Matt Marafioti, Champions Club member Paul Klann, Champions Club member Marvin Rettenmaier, Marc-Etienne McLaughlin, Michael Wang, Xuan Liu, Eddy Sabat, Kane Kalas and Champions Club member Brian Altman all hit the rail on Day 2.

Cards get back in the air tomorrow (Monday) at 12:00 noon ET on for the start of Day 3. Return to WPT.com for continuing updates on all the action.
