The 2016 California Swing kicked off on Saturday with Day 1 of the WPT L.A. Poker Classic at Commerce Casino. There were a total of 488 players, with registration open until 1:45 pm PT on Sunday.

After eight one-hour levels, Chance Kornuth (pictured) leads the 305 survivors with 153,600 in chips. Other leaders include Barry Hutter, Jason Les, and Max Altergott. Here is the top 10:

Other notable players that reached Day 2 include Joe McKeehen, Joseph Cheong, Tony Gregg, Fedor Holz, Matt Salsberg, Jonathan Little, and Season XIII Hublot WPT Player of the year Anthony Zinno.

Among the players who were unable to bag chips were Ari Engel, Bruce Buffer, Chris Moorman, Christian Harder, Erik Seidel, Igor Kurganov, and our very own Mike Sexton.
