Day 3 of the partypoker.net WPT Montreal Main Event came to a close with 16 players remaining on Tuesday night, and leading the way is Trevor Delaney with nearly 3.3 million chips. Delaney already has a WPT final table appearance at Playground Poker Club this season, with a fifth-place finish in the partypoker WPT Canadian Spring Championship. If Delaney can reach the six-handed televised final table, he will ascend in the Hublot WPT Player of the Year rankings.
Three WPT Champions Club members are still in contention: Brian Altman (1,965,000), Darren Elias (1,000,000), and Giacomo Fundaro (765,000). Elias, a two-time champion, reached the final table of WPT Choctaw earlier this season, and is looking to lock up yet another television appearance on the World Poker Tour. Elias will take the lead in the Hublot WPT Player of the Year race with a seventh-place finish or better.
