The £100,000 guaranteed partypoker WPT National UK Main Event hits the capital from Thursday, July 30 – Sunday, August 1. Hosted at Aspers Casino Stratford City, the WPT festival kicks off on Wednesday, July 29 at 7 pm with the DT38 Charity Tournament.
The DT38 foundation was founded in memory of professional footballer Dylan Tombides, who passed away after a three-year battle with testicular cancer. The £100 entry tournament is open for anyone to enter, and 38% of the prize pool will be donated to DT38. Celebrities, poker professionals, and recreational players will gather at Aspers Stratford City to play, and sporting memorabilia and tickets, as well as poker prizes, will be donated for added value.
“Having the DT38 Tournament take place during the WPT festival at Aspers Casino Stratford offers us the opportunity to increase awareness about men’s health, in particular our young men, and the need for self-awareness and early detection”, commented Tracy Tombides, Dylan’s Mother and founder of DT38. “The evening also provides an opportunity for people to play poker, mix with footballers, and grab some great prizes whilst also fundraising to provide support, awareness and education.”
Following the DT38 Charity Tournament, the partypoker WPT National UK £600 buy-in Main Event is split into three £200 flights. partypoker pro Tony Dunst will be flying in from the United States to call shuffle up and deal and play the Main Event, which starts on Thursday, July 30 at 8 pm.
“I played the event at Aspers Casino for the first time in February, and I loved it so much that I wanted to make sure I was here again for the last leg of 2015!” commented Dunst.
Players have the option to buy-in to one, two, or all three of the Day 1 flights. At the end of each flight chips will be bagged and moved forward to Day 2. All chips from each flight are accumulated to give players their total starting stack for Day 2.

Daily qualifiers are online at partypoker now running until 19 July. Players can either win seat only or packages for the Main Event. Satellites run daily at 14:45 (Seat Only) and Sundays at 14:30 (Package).
