The PMU.fr WPT National Paris festival kicked off on Friday, Nov. 20, with the €50,000 guaranteed, €290 buy-in WPT Warm-Up,which attracted a record number of 422 players . This doubled the guaranteed prize pool to €110,250, and the winner will walk away with the top prize of €22,000 and a fantastic new WPT trophy.
Renowned French players have already taken to the felt at Cercle Clichy Montmartre, including PMU Team Pro Erwann Pécheux, who reached the final table, and other notables: Jacques Guenni, Guillaume Jenner, Suat Uyanik, Xavier Detournel, Steven Moreau, Patrick Champagnol, and French actor Frederic Chau.
The next event is the €100,000 guaranteed, €2,200 buy-in WPT National Paris High Roller, starting at 9 pm on Tuesday. Players are allowed one re-entry, and late registration will close at 7 pm on Wednesday. The headlining €500,000 guaranteed WPT National Paris Main Event begins with Day 1A on Thursday at 10 am, followed by Day 1B at 8 pm and two more flights the subsequent day. Players are allowed up to four entries – one for each starting flight – and can carry their best stack forward.
The final table will be live-streamed on the PMU.fr blog on Monday, November 30.
Players who are unable to spin up a big stack in the WPT National Paris Main Event will have one last chance at success on in the City of Light on Saturday in the €400 buy-in PMU.fr Carte Blanche side event.
