Roberto Ghidini was crowned the Gioco Digitale WPT National Venice Main Event champion in Italy’s Bride of the Sea, outlasting the 235-entry field at the Casino di Venezia to win €50,000.
Flavio Zumbini and Roberto Ghidini reached heads-up play after more than nine hours of battle at the final table. The heads-up battle was very intense, featuring two players in search of their first WPT National Title. After an additional two hours, Ghidini secured the championship with a full house sevens over jacks, winning his first WPT event as well as coveted WPT National crystal trophy and €50,000.

The casino di Venezia Ca Vendramin Calergi hosted the Gioco Digitale WPT National Venice, from December 3-8. The festival kicked off with a Super Free Roll, where three Day 1A seats were up for grabs.
The highlight of this festival was the €990 buy-in Gioco Digitale WPTN Venice Main Event. A total of 235 players joined the field, generating a total prize pool of €211,500. Among the notable names in the field were Kara Scott, Flavio Zumbini, Alessandro Borsa, or Giorgio Silvestrin.
