Day 2 comes to an end with 52 players remaining, and once again it’s Ankush Mandavia (pictured) bagging up the biggest chip stack with just shy of a million in chips. Here is the end-of-day leader board:

1.  Ankush Mandavia  –  937,500  (188 bb)
2.  Imaze Hasnain  –  797,500  (160 bb)
3.  Mohsin Charania  –  691,500  (138 bb)
4.  Danny Fuhs  –  552,000  (110 bb)
5.  Taylor Paur  –  465,000  (93 bb)
6.  Daniel Strelitz  –  461,500  (92 bb)
7.  J.C. Tran  –  448,500  (90 bb)

While Mandavia leads for a second consecutive day, there are several other key story lines to follow. Darren Elias (230,000), Charania, and Tran, who won this event in Season XII, are all in contention for what would be a record-tying third WPT title. While short-stacked, Anthony Zinno is still alive with 19 big blinds and could win a record-breaking fourth WPT title. Paur, the reigning California Swing champion, could add a diamond to his nameplate on the WPT Champions Cup with a second title on the West Coast. And Kevin Eyster can ascend to the top of the Hublot WPT Player of the Year standings with a win.

Day 3 begins Tuesday at 12:00 noon PT, and will conclude when the field reaches an official final table of six. The final table will be live-streamed on a 30-minute delay on Wednesday.
