Andrey Plotnikov leads the final 74 players after Day 2 of the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown Championship in Hollywood, Florida.  Plotnikov bagged 1.793 million chips, and is joined at the top of the ranks by Brian Yoon (1.468 million), Justin Young (1.466 million), and Robert Kuhn (1.447 million).

Mike Shariati, who leads the race for the Hublot WPT Player of the Year, is still in the field with 292,000 (24 big blinds), but Shariati hasn’t clinched anything yet. There are three players still alive in this field who can catch him — Jake Schwartz (401,000), Cate Hall (334,000), and David Paredes (217,000). This event and Sunday’s $10,000 buy-in WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Finale are the final two WPT events of the season that award Hublot WPT POY points.

The bubble burst in Level 18 with the elimination of Glenn Lafaye and two others. The top 153 players all earned a minimum of $4,791, and among the players to cash who failed to survive Day 2 were Nick Yunis, Nathan Bjerno, Brent Roberts, Barry Hutter, Shannon Shorr, and Jason Wheeler.

Day 3 begins Sunday at 12:00 pm. Return to WPT.com for continuing coverage as they play down to the WPT Final Table.
