From March 9 – 20, the World Poker Tour will host the partypoker-sponsored WPT Vienna festival at the Montesino Wien, located in the capital city of Austria. The festival, which has been moved forward a week from the previously announced dates, features a 12-day schedule that includes 8 various level events, culminating with a €3,300 buy-in Main Event.
Highlights of the schedule include the €200,000 guaranteed €340 buy-in WPT Warm Up Event (March 10 – 14) and the €7,000 buy-in WPT High Roller (March 19 – 20). Pot-limit Omaha fans will have the special €550 buy-in WPT PL Omaha (March 17 – 18).
“WPT Vienna is the first European Main Tour stop in 2016, and it can’t be missed. World Poker Tour has a rich history in the authentic capital of Austria, and in upcoming March everyone has one more chance to become part of it,” said WPT Europe General Manager Hermance Blum. “We’ve made some well thought-out changes, making the schedule more condensed in order to appeal to players of all levels.”
