Los Angeles, CA (August 1, 2016) – World Poker Tour® today announced the addition of Donnie Peters, former Editor-in-Chief of PokerNews, to the WPT® marketing team. As Marketing Manager, Peters will be responsible for producing and distributing WPT content throughout its extensive media channels, coordinating and overseeing event and episode marketing, and managing WPT’s social media outreach and communications.
Peters joined the PokerNews team in 2008, providing live updates coverage from poker tournaments around the world. The Hampton, NH native and Elon University graduate ascended quickly, and was named Editor-in-Chief of PokerNews in December of 2012. Winner of the 2015 American Poker Award for Media Person of the Year, Peters is deeply entrenched in the poker community and has not only researched and written compelling poker content, but hosted both poker podcasts and television shows.
