Los Angeles, CA (September 14, 2016) – World Poker Tour® returns to Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City, NJ on Sept. 18, 2016 for the televised Season XV WPT® Borgata Poker Open. It is the 14th edition of the WPT Borgata Poker Open, with the $3,500 Championship boasting a $3 million guarantee.
The feature tournament of a 19-event schedule, the WPT Borgata Poker Open $3,500 Championship will allow unlimited re-entries through Level 10 on the two starting days of Sept. 18 and 19. Each entry will see a player begin with 30,000 in tournament chips, and each level will be one hour in length through the first 10 levels. Subsequent days will feature longer level times, and Day 5 of the event will feature the WPT final table structure.
In addition to the first-place prize money, the Season XV WPT Borgata Poker Open champion will be awarded a luxurious Hublot King Power Unico Carbon and Red watch, have his or her name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup, and win an entry into the season-ending WPT Tournament of Champions.
Last season, the WPT Borgata Poker Open attracted a field of 1,027 entries, with David Paredes emerging victorious to capture the $723,227 first-place prize.

The final table of the Season XV WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship will be live streamed on a 30-minute delay on WPT.com and Twitch.tv/worldpokertour.
WPT Borgata Poker Open Championship event players are invited to Borgata’s newest outdoor bar venue, the Beer Garden, on Sept. 18, from 5-8 p.m. ET. Those that attend will be treated to drinks and live music and enjoy a variety of lawn games, fire pits and more.
On Sept. 19, the WPT Players Forum takes place at 8:30 p.m. Players are invited to the session to provide feedback and suggestions regarding the World Poker Tour. The WPT Players Forum will be held at Borgata’s Studio 3, located in the Event Center. Light refreshments will be provided.
