The Season XV World Poker Tour Rolling Thunder $3,500 Main Event has officially moved on to Day 2 with the conclusion of Day 1b on Sunday night. After Dhaval Joshi bagged the early lead on Saturday’s opening flight with 181,100, Ting Ho went on to edge him out with a Day 1b finishing stack of 181,300. That means Ho will take the overall chip lead into Monday’s Day 2, sitting atop the surviving 197 players.

“I think I was just grinding,” Ho said of her day. “Early on, I was doing OK. I had a few hands, I didn’t really get paid off on them, but basically just slowly building my stack.”

Hot on the heels of Ho for the end of Day 1b was Ben Barad with 172,700.

WPT Champions Club member Tyler Patterson bagged up 104,100 to head into Day 2 with a six-figure stack along with Dan O’Brien (101,800) and Eddy Sabat (100,300).

Also among the Day 1b survivors were WPT Champions Club members Chris Moorman, Marvin Rettenmaier, Taylor Paur, Lee Markholt, Mark Newhouse, and Harrison Gimbel, the defending WPT Rolling Thunder champion.

Day 2 of the event will begin on Sunday at 12 p.m. PT from Thunder Valley Casino Resort. The event has drawn 376 entries so far, but registration will remain open until the start of Level 11 on Monday’s Day 2.
