A superb day of poker on Friday was witnessed at Dusk Till Dwn in Nottingham for Day 2 of the Season XV partypoker World Poker Tour® UK Main Event, and it ended with Irish player Marc Macdonnell topping of the chip counts by a huge amount. He bagged 974,000 in chips after he busted Ben Heath late in the day, and that allowed him to finish well ahead of Alex Ward’s second-place stack of 534,000.

Others who survived the day included Ben Winsor (497,000), winner of the WPT500 UK event just days ago for £150,000, Patrick Leonard (418,000), Niall Farrell (369,000), and Season XIV Hublot WPT Player of the Year Mike Shariati (141,000).

Tony Dunst, WPT Raw Deal Analyst and Champions Club member, also bagged up chips 338,000.

The total field size tallied at 522 entries following the close of registration. The top 54 places were set to reach the money, with a whopping £200,000 to be awarded to the champion.

Day 3 will see the cards in the air at 2 p.m. UK time, and you can follow the action right here on WPT.com.
