Richard Kellett was the first player to bust in the money and min-cashed for £9,700 before a flurry of others met him at the cash desk, including Waheed “Wadey” Ashraf, Steve Warburton, former Wimbledon champion Boris Becker, and Britain’s Sam Trickett.Experienced professionals such as Patrick Leonard, Dara O’Kearney, Anton Wigg, Niall Farrell, and Steve O’Dwyer all finished outside the money.

At the final table, the battle eventually came down to Oliver and Tedeschi. After the hour-long heads-up match, it was Oliver who came out on top. The final hand saw Oliver’s dominating Diamond AClub K win against the Club AHeart 2 for Tedeschi, and that was all she wrote.

For Oliver, the score proved to be the largest of his live tournament career.
