The recently concluded WPTDS Chicagoland festival at Majestic Star Casino & Hotel attracted more than 2,000 entries, generating over $600,000 in prize pools. Players from across the region came to one of Indiana’s premier gaming destinations to take a shot at the $100,000 GTD Main Event which onto itself awarded more than $244,000 to players.
After three days of exciting tournament action, it was local resident and airline pilot Tim McCarthy who topped a field of 255 entrants for the $57,496 first place prize and valuable WPTDS Player of the Year points.
