Salie Stohler topped a field of 388 players to win the WPTDeepStacks Hustler Main Event on Monday night at the Hustler Casino in Los Angeles, California. Stohler was awarded $66,000 in prize money and the WPTDeepStacks trophy after winning a final table that clocked in at six hours of play. Action was accelerated when the final three players decided to a three-way chop that gave each of them $50,000. They played it out for the final $16,000 in the prize pool along with the trophy and remaining WPTDS Player of the Year points.
Third-place finisher Brian Reinert was also awarded the $3,000 DSPT Championship package in the chop.
After Reinert was eliminated, the heads-up final didn’t last too long after that to decide a champion. Stohler topped Bobby Suer in less than an hour to decide the final battle in the tournament. Congratulations to our new champion, and first female champion in WPTDS history – Salie Stohler!
