Cards got into the air at noon on January 24, 2017, and the early stretch of play was rough for some of the big names.

Aaron Massey was eliminated in ninth place, then it was Luis Torres who exited in eighth place. After that, TK Miles was the next to fall in seventh place, as action kept up its fast-and-furious pace.

Timothy Banks then busted in sixth place, and Charlemagne Benjamin hit the rail in fifth.

With four players left, Marc Levy was the first to fall, and he was followed out the door by Loni Harwood. That set up a heads-up final between Dantonio Brown and Michael Graffeo.

The heads-up final echoed the entirety of the final table and didn’t last too long. There was only one all-in confrontation, and it started when Brown raised to 1.6 million preflop on the button. Graffeo reraised all in, and Brown called to put his tournament life at risk. Graffeo held the Club AClub 3, and Brown showed the Spade 8Diamond 8. The board was dealt Heart ASpade 7Heart 2Spade 2Diamond A, and Brown was eliminated in second place to take home $178,209 in prize money.

Graffeo won the tournament and took home $290,687 in prize money along with the WPTDS trophy and Seminole Hard Rock trophy, a WPTDeepStacks $3,000 Championship package, and a Seminole Hard Rock Poker Open $5,250 Main Event seat.
