Los Angeles, CA (May 24, 2018) – WPTDeepStacks™ (WPTDS™) today announced a date change for WPTDS Houston at FreeRolls Poker Club. Originally scheduled for September 21-25, 2018, the new dates for the event are September 26-October 1. The $100,000 prize pool guarantee on the WPTDs Houston $1,000 Main Event remains, and the tournament features four starting flights.
“The anticipation could not be higher for the first-ever WPTDeepStacks Houston event, and we are proud to partner with FreeRolls Poker Club to bring poker’s premier mid-major tournament circuit to Texas for the first time,” Chris Torina, WPTDeepStacks Executive Director, said. “In an effort to best accommodate both regional and traveling players looking forward to competing in the WPTDS Houston Main Event, WPTDS and FreeRolls Poker Club have announced a new date for the event and added a fourth starting flight.”

Players in the WPTDS Houston Main Event are eligible to earn points in the Season 5 WPTDeepStacks Player of the Year race. The winner of the WPTDS Player of the Year award will earn $15,000 in buy-in credits to WPT® Main Tour events, $5,000 buy-in credits to WPTDeepStacks events, plus a customized trophy to commemorate his or her performance from Season 5.
