Cronin started the final table with a double up when his Spade AClub K made two pair against the pocket queens of Mario Oliveira, who began the final table as the chip leader. Ashley Brown then busted in ninth and Scott Hall went out in eighth before the first of two three-way clashes that would result in an elimination took place.

Luke Graham went out in seventh place when his Diamond ADiamond Q went to war with the Heart 9Diamond 9 of Oliveira and Spade KClub K of Shuman. Oliveira’s nines won the pot and gave him the triple up. Shuman had Graham covered and knocked him out.

Cronin busted Ben Scorgins in sixth place, and then he went on to take out Eric Chastain in fifth place. After that, it was Jimmy Ilanlou falling in fourth place at the hands of Shuman.

After Shuman found a double through Oliveira, the three remaining players played a three-way pot that busted Oliveira. Oliveira was all in preflop and both of his opponents called before they checked down the Diamond KSpade JClub 8Heart 7Diamond 2 board. Shuman won the pot with the Heart JDiamond 8 for two pair, beating the Club KHeart Q of Cronin and the Spade ASpade 7 of Oliveira.

Heads-up play saw Shuman start with the lead in chips, as it was his 5.76 million against Cronin’s 3.535 million. Cronin quickly took the chip lead, Shuman doubled back in front, but then Shuman worked his way back to the lead over the next hour before he sealed the deal.

For his runner-up finish, Shuman earned $73,078.
