Las Vegas, NV (October 3, 2023) Following World Poker Tour® Ambassador Phil Ivey’s confirmed participation, six additional players have committed to play the $1 Million WPT® The Big One for One Drop at Wynn Las Vegas. Joining Ivey will be Rick Salomon, David Einhorn, Talal Shakerchi, Daniel “Jungleman” Cates, Chris Brewer, and Nick Petrangelo.

The iconic Big One for One Drop makes its WPT debut December 18-20 at the 2023 WPT World Championship festival at Wynn Las Vegas, and will feature a televised final table. Six percent of each buy-in will directly benefit the One Drop Foundation to continue their mission of ensuring sustainable access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene for communities facing extreme barriers.

“Our partnership with the One Drop Foundation has already seen some big names turn up in the Alpha8 fields,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “As the Big One draws near, we are elated with every new entry, building excitement and securing further support for the One Drop Foundation’s global cause.”

“It is amazing to witness the first wave of entrants into the Big One, which includes some of our past participants as well as new faces,” said Alexandre Meunier, One Drop Foundation’s Chief Marketing and Events Officer. “Rick, David and Talal have been a part of every Big One since its inception. We welcome all the players and cannot wait to add more incredible names to the lineup.”

Not only did Salomon play in all four previous editions of the Big One, he cashed in three of them, including his best finish of third place for €3,000,000 in the 2016 Monte-Carlo One Drop Extravaganza. Einhorn also lays claim to a third-place finish, which he secured in The Big One’s 2012 debut, earning a payout of $4,352,000.

Representing the high-stakes professional poker scene is a group of three players with a combined total of over $60 million in tournament earnings. Cates and Petrangelo have competed in past Big One for One Drop events. Brewer, who has already logged a productive 2023 campaign, will make his first-ever Big One appearance.
