We’re less than a month away from the Season X finale, the prestigious WPT World Championship at Bellagio. This phenomenal event concludes a historic tenth season on the World Poker Tour and additionally features the televised WPT Super High Roller. The $100,000 buy-in special event will air in three episodes as part of the World Poker Tour broadcast on Fox Sports Net (FSN).
Following a brief break, WPT Season XI will then kick-off this summer with the WPT Merit Cyprus Classic running August 4 – August 9, 2012. As Tournament Director, Matt Savage will helm the action using the acclaimed WPT Main Event structure, which will offer two starting days with a re-entry option on Day 1B.
Hosted by the Merit-Grand Casino, the premiere WPT Main Event of Season XI will feature a $4,000 + $400 buy-in with a $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool. A VIP Players Party is planned for August 7, while various side events are scheduled to take place throughout week along with 24-hour cash games of all levels. The WPT final table on August 5 will be streamed across the globe on WPT.com.
