It’s the halfway point for the WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas and with only two starting flights left to get in the mix for a reality-altering payday as a part of the $40,000,000 guarantee, players piled into the Encore Ballroom for one of the last shots to build a stack.

Well before the start of the day, the room was humming as the number of starting entrants climbed. By all accounts, it’s likely to be a packed house on Day 1C when all is said and done as the line for registration continued to grow throughout the entirety of the first level.

Some familiar faces were back for another shot, not yet having luck in finding a bag at the end of the night. Chance Kornuth, former WPT Player of the Year Joe Serock, and current WPT POY points leader Bin Weng were in their seats early.

Aside from Kornuth, there were several WPT Champions Club members looking to add to their title totals including Dominik Nitsche, Joe Hachem, Tyler Patterson, and three-time title holder Anthony Zinno who is looking to close the championship gap between himself and Darren Elias, who already bagged a big stack in this event.

Tough table alert as high stakes tournament pro Adrian Mateos was seen battling poker legend Phil Laak and tournament pro Nacho Barbero.  Just one table over, was cash game crusher Garrett Adelstein who is coming off his big night at Bally Live Poker and just a day ahead of jumping into the $300/$600 WPT livestreamed cash game.

It doesn’t get any easier for Eliot Hudon, the reigning, defending WPT World Championship champion who made his way before the end of the first level and sat at the same table as Wynn Millions champ Andrew Moreno.

More faces in the field included: WSOP Champ Espen Jorstad, Nick Schulman, Justin Bonomo, Byron Kaverman, Michael Wang, Alect Torelli, and a returning Shannon Shorr many of whom beat the long lines at the cage and found their seats early.

A pair of champions: Joe Hachem and Espen Jorstad.

There were also a number couple of content creators in Lex Ozias (Lex O Poker) and Game of Gold star Lukas Robinson (RobinPoker) in the house as well as pro gamer for FaZe Clan, Nate Hill.
