Day 4 at the WPT L.A. Poker Classic was very tough on the big names in the field at Commerce Casino. There were a ton of familiar faces when play began but the payout list from today tells the story of how things went for the notable pros in the field.

The notable bustouts today included all seven WPT Champions Club members in action, with Scott Clements (30th place), Joe Hachem (33rd place), Scott Seiver (52nd place), Phil Laak (54th place), Carlos Mortensen (55th place), and John Hennigan (56 place) all exiting the field. Recent WPT bestbet Jacksonville Fall Poker Scramble winner Noah Schwartz was the last Champions Club member remaining, but he busted out in 19th place to end the night.

Leading the way on Wednesday will be Toby Lewis with 1,816,000, who was named ClubWPT Player of the Day as was interviewed by WPTT Live Updates (video above). He is joined at the top by Paul Klann (1,581,000), Paul Volpe (1,562,000), and Benjamin Zamani (1,380,000). Other notables that survived include Naoya Kihara, Danny Fuhs, Jeremy Ausmus, and WPT Regional Florida event winner Andrew Whitaker.

Tune back in at noon tomorrow, when the remaining field returns to play down to the WPT television final table of six in Southern California. The WPT Live Updates team will be here to bring you all of the action, including hand-for-hand updates once the unofficial final table of ten is set.

When action resumes, there will be fewer than seven minutes left in Level 22 before the blinds increase to 10,000-20,000 with a 3,000 ante.
