WPT Season XII is now only two months away from kicking off when bwin WPT Cyprus gets underway on August 16, 2013, from Merit Crystal Cove Hotel & Casino on the beautiful Mediterranean island of Cyprus. The $4,400 buy-in World Poker Tour main event features a guaranteed prizepool of $1,000,000 and will once again draw some of the biggest names in poker. Last year’s event drew 329 players and generated a prizepool of $1,212,694 and awarded $287,784 to eventual champion Marvin Rettenmaier, who set WPT history at that event for being the first player to even win back-to-back World Poker Tour events (the first was Season X WPT World Championship).
With 35 events and $3,000,000 in prize money spread out over the entire series from August 12-25, 2013, and another legendary party planned, this won’t be an event that you’ll want to miss.
