For 2020, the WPTDS European Championship comes to the beautiful seaside resort of Deauville.
In 2019, Nathan Tetart was the victor after he battled through a 405 player-field at the Casino Barrière to take €102,655 for first place, plus a €2,000 WPTDeepStacks Main Event package for the following season.
In a thrilling finale, Tetart came from behind to be crowned the WPTDS European Championship Deauville €1,500 Main Event champion, after dropping down to just three big blinds at one point.
The victory came following a closely fought battle with Greg Ceran Maillard and, after coming so close to busting, the result was unexpected but equally ecstatic for Tetart, who described the result as “a dream!”
Running alongside the €1,500 event is a packed schedule of events, offering poker players a fantastic choice of tournaments to choose from.
Among the highlights of the series are the €450 Opener, the €2,500 High Roller, €150 Ladies event, and the €450 Progressive Bounty.
