Tampa, FL (April 20, 2022) – Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa hosts the World Poker Tour® for the 7th time beginning August 25 through September 6. The $3,500 buy-in main event takes place September 2 – 7.

WPT returns to Tampa for the first time since June 2021, where the main event prize pool soared over $3.7 million and broke multiple records for a Seminole Hard Rock Tampa event. Brian Altman was the eventual champion, securing his 3rd WPT Main Tour title. He joins Gun Hansen, Eric Afriat, Chino Rheem, Carlos Mortensen, Anthony Zinno, and Darren Elias as the only players to ever win 3 or more WPT titles.

Entrants at WPT Tampa 2022 will also be competing in the WPT Player of the Festival leaderboard, which awards a $1,100 WPT Prime Passport to the player with the most points over the course of each tournament festival.
