Irvine, CA (November 24, 2022) – The World Poker Tour® is having a robust 20th-anniversary season, which has ignited exciting new partnerships for the future. WPT® has joined forces with Texapoker to present a strong offering of WPT Prime festivals in Western Europe.
“Even amidst an incredible 20th-anniversary season, we are preparing for our progression into 2023,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “Partnering with Texapoker provides us with a wonderful opportunity to return the WPT brand to the French market.”
“Eleven years after my first WPT partnership, I am very pleased and proud to work with this brand and to run three stops in France and Italy,” added Apo Chantzis, Texapoker Chairman and CEO.
WPT has signed a two-year partnership with Texapoker for 2023 and 2024. The agreement pledges three poker series each year. A breakdown of the three upcoming festivals for Season XXI is as follows:
- WPT Prime Paris – Club Circus Paris – Paris, France
Festival Dates: Jan 22 – Feb 5 - WPT Prime Sanremo – Casinò di Sanremo – Sanremo, Italy
Festival Dates: Jun 1 – 11 - WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence – Pasino Grand – Aix-en-Provence, France
Festival Dates: Oct 9 – 15
WPT Prime kicks off the Season XXI live tour schedule on Jan. 22 with a festival series at Club Circus Paris in France. The €1,100 buy-in WPT Prime Paris main event runs Feb. 1 – 5.

The Circus brand which is in six countries and two continents continues to develop and this partnership strengthens the Club as a stronghold of Parisian poker.”
WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence (Oct. 9 – 15) is being held at Pasino Grand. This will be the first time WPT has ventured to Aix-en-Provence in southern France.
For both WPT Prime Paris and WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence, PMU.fr will run online satellite tournaments for French players to win their seat to the $1,100 championship events.
“It is a real pleasure to host the satellites for the WPT and we will qualify a maximum of players to offer them the best experience first online and then live,” stated a PMU.fr Executive.
The WPT Prime Sanremo festival series from June 5 – 11 will be held at Casinò di Sanremo in Italy, near the southeastern border of France. In June of 2018, the same property hosted a WPTDeepStacks event.
As an added bonus to the new partnership, Texapoker will undertake WPT World Championship giveaways. They are awarding a 2023 WPT World Championship seat to each of their four French Championship of Poker event winners, running throughout 2023.
